R-ANELL HOMES ADDS LEAN MANUFACTURING ENGINEER TO STAFF

DENVER, NORTH CAROLINA, April 12, 2006 — R-Anell Homes, the oldest and most established manufacturer of custom homes in the Southeast since 1972, has hired Cliff Robbins as the company's lean manufacturing engineer.

Robbins, who has more than 30 years of experience in industrial engineering and operations management, is in a newly created position at R-Anell and will implement lean manufacturing at the company. Lean manufacturing is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste through continuous improvement by flowing the product at the pull of the customer in pursuit of perfection.

In his role, Robbins will train all associates in lean methodology, 5S, and value stream mapping and identify areas for improvement. Robbins will ensure product and information flow through the process in the amount needed, at the time needed and at the location needed.
