


Monticello, Fla., Resident Is First Semi-Finalist In Cheerwine, R-Anell Homes' 'Givin' Away The House' Promotion
Winning Entry Purchased in Nearby Thomasville, Ga.
June 2, 2005 - Betty Martin of Monticello , Fla. , is the first of five semi-finalists in Cheerwine soft drink's "Givin' Away The House" promotion with R-Anell Homes.
Martin was selected as a semi-finalist on May 20, earning her a one-in-five chance of winning a 1,400-square-foot home as part of Cheerwine's Crave Factor promotion. Four additional semi-finalists will be drawn on the 20 th of each month through September, with the grand prize winner selected among the semifinalists in October.
"This is a thrill of a lifetime for me," said Martin, a 70-year-old retiree who lives east of Tallahassee with her husband Clayton. "We would love to spend our retirement in the mountains of Georgia, and that's exactly what we will do if we win the house."
The promotion is administered by The Crave Factor, Cheerwine's online consumer rewards program. Every code entered into a Crave Factor account at www.cheerwine.com generates an entry to win the house. In addition, entries can be made at www.r-anell.com . The giveaway is promoted on 2-liter bottles and 12-pack cartons of Cheerwine.
Martin entered the promotion through The Crave Factor after purchasing a 12-pack carton of Cheerwine, which was purchased at a grocer in Thomasville, Ga. The Thomasville distributor for Cheerwine is South Georgia Beverage in Tifton.
"It means a lot to us to have the first semi-finalist from our part of the Cheerwine territory," said Bobby Grantham, manager of South Georgia Beverage. "Everyone is talking about the house promotion, so it's quite an honor to bring a little attention to Tifton and Thomasville."
The promotion between Cheerwine soft drink , which has quenched the thirst of consumers throughout the Southeast for nearly 90 years with a unique cherry taste, rich burgundy color and bubbly effervescence, and R-Anell Homes, the oldest and most established manufacturer of custom homes in the Southeast since 1972, began in April and concludes with a grand prize winner in October.
