R-ANELL HOMES GIVES AWAY HOME TO NORTH CAROLINA WINNER OF CHEERWINE/R-ANELL HOMES'
“GIVIN' AWAY THE HOUSE” PROMOTION

OCTOBER 14, 2005 – R-Anell Homes, the Denver , NC , based manufacturer of custom homes, gave away a house this month to Susan Kennedy of Salisbury , NC , the finalist in the R-Anell Homes/Cheerwine “Givin' Away The House” promotion which began in April.

Kennedy, a 51-year-old Food Lion employee and a lifelong resident of Salisbury , was one of five semi-finalists selected during the promotion. As the finalist, she receives a 1,400-square-foot home, The Preston model, built by R-Anell Homes. Kennedy was notified of her win on October 6 with a surprise visit to her workplace by the president of R-Anell Homes, Dennis Jones, and the president of Cheerwine, Mark Ritchie. Also present were Joker and Helen Stallings, owners of Stallings Homes in Kannapolis , the

R-Anell builder for the Salisbury area.

Kennedy was chosen as the second semi-finalist in June.

“This has been a one-of-a-kind opportunity for our company and our builders during the last five months,” said R-Anell Homes' President Dennis Jones. “We are delighted to find out that the first home Susan Kennedy will own will be an R-Anell home.“

Consumers entered the promotion at R-Anell builder locations throughout the Southeast or online at www.r-anell.com , as well as through the Crave Factor, Cheerwine's online consumer rewards program and mail-in entries found on 2-liter bottles and 12-pack cartons of Cheerwine.

The promotion was a partnership between Cheerwine soft drink , which has quenched the thirst of consumers throughout the Southeast for nearly 90 years with a unique cherry taste, rich burgundy color and bubbly effervescence, and R-Anell Homes, the oldest and most established manufacturer of custom homes in the Southeast since 1972. R-Anell's Preston model won a 2004 National Association of Builders Building Systems Council award for its design.  The Preston is a three-bedroom, two-bath home.  The home has 9-foot ceilings, a built-in glass hutch in the kitchen and a formal dining area.  The laundry room contains space for a freezer.
